Connecting and enriching through storytelling

The World Stories Alive Project is a year long storytelling residency at Hamilton Heights School designed to foster inclusive community and artistic expression for English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities through interactive performances for all classes, an after school storytelling troupe, collaboration with the dance classroom, professional development for teachers in using storytelling in their classrooms to increase learning through the arts for English Language Learners and Students With Disabilities, and a family storytelling concert. The residency features storyteller Rachael Harrington.

The goals of the project are: to empower English Language Learners and Students With Disabilities with speaking and self confidence, increase cultural awareness, and create a school wide culture of storytelling where all students express themselves and discover connections with each other.
